Burnout among Physicians in Egypt during COVID-19 Pandemic

Introduction: Physician burnout is considered a great public health problem, and the occurrence of COVID-19 pandemic made it worse. The put several physical emotional stressors on frontline healthcare providers leading to increased burnout. Aim work: was assess prevalence its predictors among physicians in Egypt during COVID 19 evaluating relation between burnout, subscales, psychosomatic symptoms. Materials Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study assessed 503 Egyptian for 26th March 2020 1st June 2020, weeks, using online form Maslach Burnout Inventory [MBI]. Results: 72.8% subjects were classified as having high level 26.0% an average level. 62.2% 62.4% studied had exhaustion depersonalization levels, respectively, 43.5 % low personal achievement levels. Dealing with critical cases, dealing suspected cases 19, number shifts per month, presence disorders significant positive total score while exhaustion. Significantly higher scores observed exhaustion, subscales.
